Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Website owned and operated by Global Entrepreneurship Festival. Your access to and use of the Website is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Website. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which together with GEF’s privacy policy, govern GEF’s relationship with you in relation to this Website. If you disagree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, then you may not access the Website.
In addition, by registering for, accepting, holding and/or using a Ticket you are certifying that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full and that they form a binding agreement between you as the Ticket Holder, and Global Entrepreneurship Festival.
General Terms, Conditions and Rules;
1.) All Tickets are issued subject to these Terms and Conditions. By registering , accepting, holding and/or using a Ticket, a Ticket Holder accepts and agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions including, for the avoidance of doubt, the Data Privacy Policy.
2.) The possession and the presentation of a valid and original Ticket and ID is a mandatory condition for a visitor to enter the Venue.
3.) For the avoidance of doubt, children below the age of 14 are not allowed at the event venue
Intellectual Property Rights;
1.) By purchasing Tickets or holding or using Tickets, Ticket Holders receive no rights to use, license, assign or transfer any intellectual property rights of GEF including but not limited to, the names, trademarks or logos of GEF. Ticket Holders agree that any unauthorized use, licensing, assignment or transfer or any intellectual property rights of GEF is a breach of these Terms and Conditions, and may be a criminal offence under applicable laws.
2.) Nothing in the Terms and Conditions grants you a right or license to use any trade mark, design right or copyright owned or controlled by GEF or any other third party except as expressly provided in the Terms and Conditions.
3.) GEF owns all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in it’s Website, and all such rights are reserved. All copyright, trademarks, design rights, patents and other intellectual property rights (registered and unregistered) in and on the GEF Website belong to GEF
TICKET
All ticket holders who purchase their tickets via bank card option, shall be responsible for paying the bank charges for that transaction.
All tickets are subject to single entry, and will be issued in electronic format to the registered account of the Ticket Holder, if applicable, or via e-mail to the Ticket Holder.
GEF reserves the right to adopt any method of issuance, delivery or collection of the Tickets, for example, collection of Tickets may be at the onsite Ticket box office at the Venue.
Once Tickets are registered to the Ticket Holder, the Ticket Holder is solely responsible for safeguarding all Tickets.
If a Ticket has not been received it is the sole responsibility of the Ticket Holder to contact the relevant customer service center of GEF
GEF shall not be obliged to issue any duplicate or replacement Tickets for any lost or misplaced tickets.
Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion, auctions, fundraising or marketing purposes, unless with GEF’s prior written authorization which may be withheld or conditioned in its sole and absolute discretion. Tickets used for advertising, promotion, auctions, fundraising or marketing purposes without the prior written authorization of GEF shall be void, together with any other Tickets held by the Ticket Holder, the Ticket Holder shall not be permitted entry into the Venue and shall not be entitled to any refund.
Cancellation and refunds;
1.) No refund, exchanges or changes of Tickets will be permitted except as specifically set out in these Terms and Conditions or as authorised and facilitated by GEF in its sole and absolute discretion. In a case where refund is considered due to board approval there will be a 10% cancellation fee
2.) Should a Ticket be lost, stolen, counterfeited, not readable, copied, altered, defaced, damaged or obtained in violation of these Terms and Conditions, such Tickets shall be void, together with any other Tickets held by the Ticket Holder.
3.) An event of Force Majeure may force GEF to cancel, modify the dates and/or the time of the Event, the Venue and or certain events to be held during the Event. The responsibility and liability of GEF is expressly excluded in the presence of such event of Force Majeure.
Consent;
By attending an event, individual authorizes, free of charge and without consideration of any kind whatsoever, that any image and sound recording made in connection with the event, by video and/or audio recording, and/or photograph on which it appears, may be used, reproduced, modified and broadcast on any medium known or unknown to date and in particular on social networks or its Sites by GEF.
Liability;
Ticket Holders acknowledge and accept the risks and dangers inherent in attending the Event. The Ticket Holder is required to pay the maximum attention and exert the maximum due care and prudence in and near the Venue.
A Ticket Holder acknowledges and accepts it is responsible for his or her own safety and for the safety of any accompanying minor while attending the Event, at all times, including during workshops and shows.
Admission to the Event, including any Venue, is at the Ticket Holder’s sole risk. Neither GEF nor its affiliates, or any other person involved in the organization of the Event accept responsibility or liability for any loss, injury or damage to person sustained within the Venue. GEF does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of GEF
If a Ticket Holder causes a third party to incur loss, damage, costs or expenses due to its breach of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise, then the Ticket Holder shall be liable to the third party for this.
You hereby agree to indemnify to the fullest GEF from and against any and all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in any way related to your breach of any provisions of the Terms and Conditions.
Breach of terms and conditions;
A Ticket Holder in the sole discretion of GEF breaches these Terms and Conditions, then GEF reserves the right to void any Tickets, together with any other Tickets held by the Ticket Holder.
PITCH TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Global Pitch Competition
1. Eligibility
1.1 Participants must be entrepreneurs or start-ups with a clear and innovative business idea or early-stage venture.
1.2 Each applicant must provide accurate and complete information during the application process. Misrepresentation may lead to disqualification.
2. Submission Requirements
2.1 Applicants must submit a detailed pitch deck, business plan, and any additional requested materials by the deadline provided by the organizers.
2.2 Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
3. Selection Process
3.1 Entries will be reviewed and shortlisted by a panel of judges appointed by the organizers.
3.2 Selected participants will be invited to pitch their ideas or businesses during the competition.
4. Prize and Seed Funding
4.1 Winners will receive a prize that includes seed funding, business support and mentorship to help grow their business. The seed funding is an equity-based investment, subject to specific conditions outlined in the seed investment agreement.
4.2 The equity stake will be determined based on the participant’s business valuation and proposed revenue projections as agreed upon during the funding agreement process.
4.3 The seed funding will be distributed in batches as determined by the organizers, based on milestones to be achieved and adherence to agreed-upon deliverables.
4.4 Winners must sign a funding agreement that details the disbursement schedule, milestones, equity terms, and any other obligations tied to the funding.
4.5 The grant prize provided for your business will consist of a combination of 50% cash investment and 50% in-kind business support package with mentorship and incubation, representing a comprehensive package designed to ensure both financial backing and strategic support for sustainable business growth.
5. Use of Funding
5.1 The seed funding must be used solely for business-related purposes as outlined in the participant’s business plan.
Misuse of funds will result in termination of funding and potential legal action.
6. Organizer’s Rights
6.1 The organizers reserve the right to withdraw, suspend, or adjust the seed funding at any stage if:
6.1.1 The participant fails to meet agreed-upon milestones or deliverables.
6.1.2 The participant is found to have misused the funds.
6.1.3 The participant engages in fraudulent, unethical, or illegal activities.
6.2 The organizers reserve the right to collect or seek a refund of any seed funding already disbursed if the participant breaches the terms of the agreement.
7. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
7.1 Participants retain ownership of their intellectual property. However, by entering the competition, participants grant the organizers the right to use the submitted materials for promotional purposes.
7.2 The organizers will take reasonable measures to ensure confidentiality of all business plans and pitches submitted.
8. Publicity
8.1 Winners agree to participate in publicity and promotional activities related to the competition as required by the organizers.
9. General Conditions
9.1 By participating in the competition, applicants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
9.2 The organizers reserve the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time, with changes communicated to participants.
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 Any disputes arising from the competition or funding will be resolved through arbitration as per the laws governing the competition’s jurisdiction.
EXHIBITION BOOTH
EXHIBITORS OBLIGATIONS
The Exhibitor is under an obligation not to exhibit, sell or showcase any item not in relation with what was agreed upon by the GEF organizers.
The Exhibitor is obligated to maintain the exhibition stand in a clean and orderly manner throughout the event.
The Exhibitor is responsible for ensuring that all staff working with them during the festival are properly dressed, and conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
The Exhibitor agrees to be personally liable for the safekeeping of materials used during the event, as no liability shall fall on the organizers in the event of any loss or mishap.
All exhibition items must be removed from the exhibition area after the closing of the exhibition on the date and time specified by GEF. If the exhibitor fails to remove the items by the specified time and date specified, GEF is entitled to remove the items at the exhibitor’s own risk and cost.
Booth Payment
No booth will be guaranteed until GEF receives full payment for the total booth fee, along with a contract. If full payment is not received between 30days from the first payment, the organizers reserve the right to resell the assigned booth space.
Booth Space Allocation
GEF reserves the right to allocate exhibition space to exhibitors. The wishes of the exhibitor are taken into consideration as far as possible. GEF reserves the right to change the original stand allocation and shall notify the exhibitor or his/her authorized representative.
Award Nomination
Information Collection: We collect nominee and nominator details, including names, contact information, and supporting documents.
Use of Information: Your data will be used to evaluate nominations, communicate with you, and announce award recipients.
Information Sharing: We may share your information with the award selection committee and third-party service providers. Some nominee information may be publicly disclosed when announcing winners.
Data Security: We take measures to protect your data against unauthorized access and misuse. Your information will be retained only as long as necessary for the award process and legal requirements.
Your Rights: You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information, subject to legal constraints.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Cancellation by Exhibitor: If an exhibitor wishes to cancel their participation, they must notify the Event organizers in writing and must give a reasonable reason for such cancellation.. Refunds will be provided on a sliding scale based on the notice period given:
- More than 60 days before the Event: 75% refund
- 30-60 days before the Event: 50% refund
- Less than 30 days before the Event: No refund.
Cancellation by Organizers: All products to be exhibited at the Global Entrepreneurship Festival is subject to review and approval. If the exhibition is canceled by the organizers due to the product not meeting the required standard, a refund will be issued and the Exhibitor will not be allowed to exhibit at the festival. The organizers are not responsible for any other costs incurred by exhibitors
Fire Safety Regulation
Exhibitors are responsible for knowledge of and adherence to all fire and safety codes, and must follow the guidance given by any representative of the event venue.
